Etowah County Schools have been committed to feeding our students since the closure in March of 2020. USDA has announced that school systems will be allowed to feed all children at no charge through the end of the school year.

Starting September 1st, 2020, ALL students attending an Etowah County School will receive free meals at each school site. This applies to all students, regardless of reduced-price or free meal eligibility. This also applies to students enrolled in the virtual academy.

Information for meal kit pick up for virtual students only is available on ECBOE's website. https://www.ecboe.org/for_parents/virtual_academy

Families who believe they qualify for free and reduced price meals still need to complete the free and reduced meal application available at www.MySchoolApps.com to ensure there is no lapse in coverage when this program ends.

This program covers one breakfast and lunch meal daily for students. Students will need money in their account for any extra items they wish to purchase.

Your patience is appreciated while we work to ensure that food is available for all students. Issues with food shortages, as well as lunch service and schedule changes, related to the pandemic have prevented the purchase of extras. Schools are beginning to allow the purchase of extra items as possible. It is our hope to be able to expand what is offered to students within the next week.
