Hello! My name is Chad Strawn. I have taught for Etowah County Schools since 1999. I taught third grade for three years and fourth grade for sixteen years at Glencoe Elementary School. I transferred into the ESL department at the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year. From time to time I also teach an adult ESL class at Gadsden State Community College.

I am from Glencoe, Alabama and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1995. I hold an Associate's degree from Gadsden State Community College and a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville State University. In 2012 I earned a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

My wife, Jennifer, is the Etowah County 4H Agent. Jennifer's service area is covered by Auburn University. I have two children, Conner and Charli.
