04/19/2021 - ECBOE Mask Update
To All Etowah County Schools Stakeholders:
Based on the latest health order issued by Governor Ivey, masks will no longer be mandated to be worn in the State of Alabama after Friday, April 9 at 5 PM. In accordance with this, Etowah County Schools will no longer mandate that masks be worn in our schools beginning Monday, April 12. Although masks will no longer be mandated in our schools, we will continue to strongly encourage mask usage when appropriate. Personal responsibility is stressed and all individuals who wish to continue wearing a mask may do so. As we move forward, we will continue to monitor our case numbers and could make adjustments as appropriate. Our schools will continue to adhere to the various mitigation efforts that have become so familiar over the past year. The efforts of our staff, students, and communities over the past year have been nothing short of phenomenal.

Climate and School Culture Parent Survey
Attention Parents:
As we strive to ensure that all schools provide a safe and healthy learning environment for our students, we want to learn more about your experiences as a parent of a student in the Etowah County School System. Please take a few minutes to complete the Climate and School Culture Parent Survey. The survey includes questions about your student’s learning, school safety, and interpersonal relationships, as well as your perceptions of the school environment and your personal involvement in school. Your feedback will be very helpful in improving student engagement, learning conditions, and the overall school environment. Beginning, April 18, we invite all parents, guardians and caretakers to complete the School Climate Survey for Parents. Your responses are completely anonymous, and your name or personally identifiable information will not be collected. As you respond to each survey item, please think about your own personal experiences as a parent, caregiver or guardian at your child’s school. By participating in this survey, you will provide valuable insights that we can use to improve the climate and culture in our schools. If you have children at multiple schools, you may complete a survey for each school, or you may choose the school where you would most like to share your voice. You can take the survey online using the following link: Climate and School Culture Parent Survey. Please complete your survey response by May 13th. Your opinion is very important and we appreciate your input.
