Welcome! My name is Deanna Buhl. I am one of three EL teachers for Etowah County Schools. I serve students at Carlisle Elementary, Sardis High School, West End Elementary, and Whitesboro Elementary. My students teach me as much as I teach them. It is wonderful to work with children from different countries. When they share their cultures it is always interesting. Before teaching for Etowah County I taught Spanish to seventh graders in Decatur, Alabama. I am also an adjunct teacher for the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the ESL Department.
My Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary Education from Athens State University. I also earned my Master's Degree in ESL and Education Specialist Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
I love to travel and read. I am curious about many things and love to learn. My greatest joy comes from my sons, who gave me five grandchildren. If you have any questions feel free to contact me by email.
