Holly Hubbard

Welcome to Ms. Hubbard's Page!

Hello! My name is Holly Hubbard.   I teach K-12 EL students for the Etowah County Board of Education.  I also serve as an Adjunct Instructor for the ESL Teacher Education Program at UAB.  I have also been the Secondary ESL Coordinator at the Dresden International School in Dresden, Germany.  Prior to teaching in Germany, I taught Spanish and a sheltered social studies class at Oak Mountain Middle School in the Shelby County School System.  Teaching students from all over the world is my passion.  I love to get to know them and understand their cultures.  My job is always exciting!
I graduated from Samford University with a degree in history and later earn a Master’s degree in Social Studies Education from Jacksonville State University.  I have also earned a master’s add-on in Teaching English as a Second Language from UAB.

I love to travel and some of my favorite places that I have visited include Russia, Cuba, Poland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Chile.  I am also a dachshund enthusiast and have two cute dachshunds, Mia and Zoe.  Zoe uses a wheelchair and loves to visit the schools with me, and the students love to see her!
