Building and Grounds

Our Current Construction Projects

Etowah County Schools recently completed a $38,000,000 construction phase, the largest in our history. New high school facilities were built in the Gaston, Glencoe, Hokes Bluff, Sardis, Southside, and West End areas. Funds for these building projects were generated from a one cent sales tax that could only be used for building projects.

Through funds provided by a state-wide bond issue in 2008, the Etowah County School System continues to make improvements and additions to school facilities.  Construction is currently under way for a new facility at Hokes Bluff Middle School, a new cafeteria for Glencoe Elementary School, and renovations to the Hokes Bluff Elementary School cafeteria.
